Isn't it hard to believe that it's already July?? This year is flying by. With the change of the month comes a new project in Creativebug's Block of the Month program, and this time I'll teach you how to make the Arrow Crown block in my new class. This traditional block is one of my favorites, and I love the modern look that can be given to it by using solid colored fabrics in saturated colors, like I did in my example. One of these days I'm going to make a whole quilt with this design.
Although there are a lot of pieces in the block, it's much easier to make than it looks. In the class, I'll share tips and tricks to help you along, every step of the way. I've designed the block so that it finishes at 16", and it is a great project to practice precise measuring and cutting, plus you'll also have a chance to sharpen your skills of making half-square triangle units.
